He seemed like such a genuinely nice guy who just wanted to people laugh. My dad is a pilot, a while back he was going to catch one of his flights and as he was walking he saw and heard Robin Williams cracking jokes with some pilots and crew members at the airport before he went onto his plain . I feel like most actors that famous wouldn’t give there time of day and just walked onto the plane .

Oh god. The worst part in this is that he didn't know what was wrong with him. Put a name on smth helps you little bit , also he knew he would slowly change. This didn't change my perception of him not one bit. I understand 💔🖤the pressure that he was under by society who adolised him, must have been too much. He has to be always on, witty and funny. When u go through smth like that, u don't understand why u don't belong yoursel anymore, it must have been so painful to watch ppl looking at you like u aren't the same person they expect u to be. "I don't know how to be funny anymore" i don't think smth would break my heart more than hearing he was struggling so much at the end of his life. 💔Wherever u are Robin we absolutely loves u💜💜💜you healed us with your talent, made us happy 🖤and we UNDERSTAND🙏💜💜💜thank u for this vids🙏

Not to make this tragedy about me, but I think you might have saved my life with this video series. The perspective that a lot of the darkness I've been experiencing lately might not actually be me, but that there is most likely something wrong with me neurologically... it seems crazy that I didn't consider that before, but I didn't. I just thought this was the depression I've always had, but it is not. It is something different altogether, and that is why medication and therapy no longer help. I don't know what happens now, but I have a glimmer of hope. Thank you. RIP Robin, my absolute hero.

In my life time I have seen many celebrities pass. It is sad but we don't know them personally so you get a little bummed out maybe say oh that's a shame I really liked him/her and then life goes on and you go back to your day. Robin Williams was the only celebrity that has passed that has effected me like it was a family member. I have never been sad or nearly in tears over a celebrity dying. Robin just got me hard and here it is now almost 6-1/2 years later and I still can not bring myself to watch any of his movies it is still to difficult. Espically Ms. Doubtfire I may never be able to watch it again.

Your story is very heartfelt yet full of facts. My heart broke for the man who was still inside, but the brain trapped him there. My sister was diagnosed with Lewy Bodies five years ago at the age of 55. A very young 55 at that. I am nine years younger. She was so advanced and everyone thought her behavior was due to drugs and alcohol. However research does also show a correlation with people who have been abusers in the past. In these five years she has gone from happy outgoing dancer, music loving, to a withered woman who needs a 2 man hoyer lift just so she can be cleaned of her own waste. She cant feed herself. She cant speak but mostly gibberish, and yells obscenities constantly. It is a disease that ruins the individual and destroys any normalcy. They cant get free from inside. Please educate yourself and your families about this disease. Help and support any way you can. Just quietly reassure the person, its ok. Hold their hand, hug them. Tell them you love them and its ok. Learn patience practice patience.

It's completely sad, and yet I understand it. I've met many senior citizens choose their end bc they didn't accept the quality of life of their age, injury, decline, or prognosis. Whether they refused to take meals or outright choose to end it. It must have been frightening being aware that your losing yourself, not know why, and when you sort of do, your not sure how to cope with it. Just wished Robin had accepted the help his kids were trying to offer, and that his team and wife were better advocates for this health. It really makes no sense to send him to A.A. when he truly needed specialized medical care for nuerology, behavioral health, long-term care, and perhaps psychology to give him tools to cope. That's the part that breaks my heart most.

My mom had Parkinson's and dementia. She died one year after Robin. Dementia is a very cruel disease. It robs you of everything. Your freedom and independence. Your home. Your memories. You don't even know how to eat and drink. But before all of this, she knew that something was wrong with her mind, and the horrible part is that she didn't know how to think correctly, how to fix it. She was watching herself go downhill, just like we all were. I held her hand as she let out her last breath, after a five week stay in the hospital. I wish someone could have held Robin's hand too.

Losing yourself to a disease is a very scary thing. Lots and lots of things come into your mind. Barrages of informations coming in without time to process any of it. Depression itself comes with an onset of problems in the brain. I just hope his family and friends all can find some solace in the clarity of what happened to him. To all of us.

what I think about this video? I think it shows a huge deal about how great a human being Robin Williams was. I don't think his past struggles diminishes him. I think it elevates him. To think that he struggled with depression all his life, with his alcoholism, and still be able to deliver comedy and humanity? I think that's what makes him great, and that's what makes him such a huge inspiration to people. I don't think the people around him could be held to blame as to what happened to him. They were clueless bystanders, yes, but I don't think they should be blamed for this. The human mind is such a mystery.

Bless him and his family and friends. He is a hero of mine and remains so. Not because he made me laugh, cry and entertained me, though he did that too. I went through something similar to this with my ex husband and all I can say is doctors should have done a brain scan with the diagnosis of parkinson's. That should have been a given. And if he was found dead with no signs of self inflicted evidence there's a chance he might have just forgotten he took his meds over and over. When my husband had to go on several meds for his condition he was not allowed free Access to them for that reason. He'd just keep taking them forgetting he already did. Mental deteriorating to that level should have been medical homicide. I'm sorry but those symptoms should've been looking into more than they were. Seems the doctors were not doing their job.
