My Husbands Ex was ridiculously unfaithful, he won’t even tell me 100% of it because he’s embarrassed about how long he stayed. He gave her everything, they had 2 kids, and were married for 10 years. He finally was fed up and told her that if he happened to meet someone that would treat him the way he deserved that he would leave. That happened, he met me. She was so upset that he finally left. I’m guessing because she thought she had control over him and could do what she wanted because he wanted the kids to have both of their parents. But a person can only take so much. When he left she took EVERYTHING and he/we are still trying to rebuild. She is still angry and trying to ruin our lives. And she definitely left scars, he does have a few issues when it comes to trust. But he does trust me and I make sure to be very open and honest with him about everything. It’s definitely hard to recover after someone violates trust like that, but it’s important to give your new partner a fresh slate. Go from there. If things start looking sketchy etc... then talk about it, never accuse unless you know for sure though. Jealousy isn’t pretty on anyone.
